How often should a generator be serviced in Bali?

Is soundproofing required in villa areas?
There is no formal noise permit for villas, but an open genset runs at 95–100 dB and neighbour complaints in Canggu, Seminyak or Uluwatu are guaranteed. A soundproof canopy brings it down to 68–72 dB at 7 metres — quiet conversation level.
How fast can you repair a broken generator?
