Here is how a blackout works without an ATS: the power dies, you find a torch, walk to the genset, crank it, walk back, flip the manual changeover — ten minutes if you are home and awake. If you run a villa for guests, nobody does any of that; the guests sit in the dark and write the review later. An ATS does the whole sequence in 8–15 seconds, every time, including when the villa is empty. Of everything we install, it has the highest satisfaction-per-rupiah of any upgrade — and it also protects PLN line workers by making backfeed into the grid physically impossible.

What's Included

ATS Panel Supply

Properly rated transfer panels — single-phase for villas, three-phase for commercial sites — using Schneider or ABB contactors, not the bargain contactors that weld shut after fifty cycles.

Wiring & Integration

Control wiring between your distribution panel, the ATS and the genset's start circuit. Tidy conduit runs, labelled terminals, and an as-built wiring sketch left inside the panel door.

AMF Controller Setup

If your genset has manual start only, we fit an AMF (automatic mains failure) controller — DeepSea or SmartGen — with sensible delays so a two-second PLN flicker doesn't start the engine.

Safety Interlocks & Testing

Mechanical and electrical interlocks guarantee genset power can never feed back into the PLN grid. We finish with live blackout simulations until the changeover is boringly reliable.

    Photos of your genset control panel and distribution board over WhatsApp tell us 90% of what we need — including whether you need an AMF controller.

  2. Quote

    Fixed price for panel, wiring and testing. Same-day in most cases.

  3. Installation

    One day for most villa systems. Power interruption during connection is about 30–60 minutes — we schedule it around your needs.

  4. Blackout Simulation

    We kill the mains repeatedly and watch the system start, transfer, and return — adjusting delays so it behaves sensibly on flickers.

  5. Handover

    You get the wiring sketch, controller settings record, and a demonstration. 12-month warranty on the panel and our wiring.

FAQ

How fast does an ATS switch to generator power?
Typical configuration: 3–5 seconds to confirm the blackout is real, 5–10 seconds of engine start and stabilisation, then transfer. Total 8–15 seconds. The return to PLN is smoother still — we add a cooling-down run so the engine stops gently.
Will an ATS work with my existing generator?
It needs electric start and a controller that accepts a remote start signal. Most silent gensets sold in Bali qualify. Manual-start open units need an AMF controller retrofit, which we install — we will confirm from a photo of your control panel.
Can the system notify my phone when the generator runs?
Yes — DeepSea and SmartGen controllers with GSM modules send SMS or app notifications on blackout, genset start and any fault. Popular with owners who are off-island half the year. Add roughly IDR 2,500,000.
Does an ATS need maintenance?
A yearly inspection: contactor condition, terminal torque, battery of the controller, and a live transfer test. We bundle it into generator service visits at no extra call-out cost.
