Engineer changing the oil filter on a diesel generator during scheduled service in Bali

Standby generators in Bali do not wear out — they rot. A genset that runs twenty hours a year still lives in 80% humidity, breathing salt air, with diesel slowly growing algae in its tank and a battery quietly sulphating. Then PLN drops during a January storm and the 'almost new' genset cranks, coughs and dies in front of a villa full of guests. Every emergency callout list we run is full of machines that skipped their six-month service because 'it barely ran'. Hours matter for engines; calendar months matter for everything around the engine. In Bali, the calendar is the killer.

What's Included

250-Hour / 6-Month Service

Engine oil and filter, fuel filter, air filter inspection, coolant level and condition, belt tension, battery voltage and terminals, all electrical connections re-torqued, then a 30-minute loaded test run with voltage and frequency logged.

Fuel System Care

Bali diesel plus humidity equals water and microbial growth in tanks. We drain water separators, treat tanks with biocide where needed, and replace fuel filters before they choke your injectors — the single most common failure we see.

Standby-Specific Checks

For gensets that rarely run: block heater and trickle charger checks, exercising schedule setup, and corrosion inspection inside the canopy — salt air eats terminal lugs and AVR boards from the inside.

Service Contracts

Twice-yearly scheduled visits, a stamped logbook plus WhatsApp photo reports after every service, priority 24/7 emergency callout, and 10% off any repair parts. Villa managers get one report per property, fleet pricing from three units.

How We Work

  1. Book on WhatsApp

Send your genset model and location. We confirm a slot — usually within 2–3 days, same week guaranteed.

  2. Pre-Visit Check

We bring the correct oil grade, filters and belts for your engine — Cummins, Perkins, Yanmar and common clones are on the van.

  3. Full Service

The complete checklist above, typically 1.5–2.5 hours. We photograph everything we replace.

  4. Loaded Test Run

Not an idle test — we load the genset and log voltage, frequency and temperatures at working load.

  5. Report & Reminder

WhatsApp photo report plus logbook entry, and we message you when the next service is due. You never have to remember.

FAQ

How often should a generator be serviced in Bali?
Every 250 running hours or every 6 months, whichever comes first. High-use machines (daily blackout areas, construction) hit hours first; villa standby units hit the calendar first. Both limits exist for good reasons — oil oxidises and fuel degrades even at rest.
What is included in a generator service?
Oil and filter change, fuel filter, air filter check, coolant, belts, battery, terminal re-torque, water separator drain, and a loaded test run with readings logged. You get a photo report of everything done.
Do you keep service records?
Yes — a stamped logbook at the genset plus a digital history we hold per machine. This is what keeps your warranty valid and what a buyer wants to see if you ever sell the property with the genset.
Do you offer contracts for villa managers?
Yes — multi-property contracts with one consolidated report, fleet discount from three gensets, and priority emergency response. Most of our contract clients are villa management companies in Canggu, Berawa and Seminyak.
My generator is still under your warranty — do I have to service with you?
No. Warranty requires on-schedule servicing with genuine parts and records — any competent workshop qualifies. Most owners stay with us because the logbook and reminders make it effortless.
