How quiet can you make my generator?
A 95–100 dB open genset typically comes down to 68–72 dB at 7 metres with a full canopy and exhaust silencer — conversation level. Every additional 5 dB below that gets disproportionately expensive; we will tell you honestly where the practical floor is for your unit.
Will an enclosure make my generator overheat?
A badly designed one will — it is the most common DIY soundproofing disaster we repair. Our enclosures are built around an airflow calculation for your specific engine at Bali temperatures, and we verify with temperature logging under load before handover.
Can you soundproof my existing open-frame generator?
Yes, that is most of this work. The enclosure is built to your unit's dimensions with access doors at its actual service points. If the genset is very old, we will say so before you invest in a box that outlives the engine.
Is soundproofing legally required in villa areas?
There is no formal villa noise permit, but nuisance complaints to the banjar are taken seriously and resolving them after the fact is harder than preventing them. In guest-facing businesses the economics are simpler: noisy power shows up in reviews.
